Wie zijn wij?

Clean Clothes Campaign is the world’s largest alliance of labour unions and NGOs working to improve conditions in the global garment industry. We identify poor working conditions such as low wages, unsafe workplaces, discrimination, and more. In addition, we raise awareness and mobilize consumers; we lobby companies and governments; we organize joint training sessions with workers focused on mutual capacity building; and we run local and global labor rights campaigns. We played for example a pivotal role in the establishment of the Bangladesh Accord, a legally binding agreement aimed at improving factory safety.

Our global network includes over 230 trade unions and NGOs in 45 countries, connecting actors across the entire industry to advance our mission. The organisation hosts two teams: The International Office, which facilitates the network and global coordination, and the Dutch CCC team, focusing on campaigning and advocacy in the Netherlands. Together, we are supported by staff in HR, IT, Finance, Grant Management, and Fundraising. Our team of 25 works mainly from our Amsterdam office, with a few colleagues based in Brussels.

We have no executive director—our non-hierarchical structure is based on shared leadership and consensus decision-making. Coordination is managed by a Cross Team Body and we have a flat salary structure: all employees earn the same, regardless of position.
